When I get an idea, I can’t let it go until it comes to fruition.
For example, I envisioned exactly how I wanted to decorate my dining room, so I didn’t stop until the money quit flowing (so freely). I focused only on that project for weeks.
First the paint color. Done in 1.5 days. The centerpiece. The wall decor. The accent chairs. I pictured and then did it.
That’s how this most recent sewing project happened. I decided this morning I wanted matching maxi skirts for Addie and me. Me and Addie. Addie and I. Myself and Addie.
That grammar rule gets me, man. You get the point.
So, during nap time I made two of these skirts. No measuring just cutting, ironing, and sewing. I think I have the simplest skirt pattern out there. Which there is no pattern. So it’s that easy.
I pretty much think she can do no wrong in this skirt because she looks so stinkin adorable.
I made her skirt, mine, and two sashes out of 3 yards of fabric. It was the perfect amount!
She also looks way cuter in it than I do. But I’m okay with that.
Her head wrap took absolutely no prep work. I just asked the cutter at the fabric store for 1/8 of a yard. I folded it in half and wrapped it around her little head! That’s it!
